You may wonder what gives me the right to have the "authority" on what works and what doesn't. Good question!

Is our downline truly "lazy?" ...

Or could it be that most our new distributors are still stymied in a confused and uncertain state of "what do I do?"

Isn't this a question you often hear from your downline?

So you tell them. Yet they still don't do what you suggest! Arggghhh. What's seems to be the problem? ... we wonder in desperation. What's wrong?

Though what if they're still confused? Could it really be?

As you see ... they're not even getting out of the gate! If they really HAD the knowledge, and KNEW what to do, wouldn't they work their business?

If you're new, maybe you, too, are having this problem.

We swirl in confusion. So when we're stuck in this confusion, it results in NO ACTION. We may not be confident enough to even try. Or if we do try, we probably crash and burn, and then get disappointed.

Perhaps "HOW do I do it?" is the better question. Everybody must learn both the "WHAT" and "HOW." Knowledge is confidence. Confidence breeds ACTION.

Are people WILLING to act if they don't know exactly HOW to do it? No!

"Penny" Leads, "Real-Time" Leads, it doesn't matter ...

There's a circulating false theory ... "all networkers need are good leads."

Wrong.

Even if you send people "down the runway" with good leads, and they haven't finished "flight theory" school yet, they're going to crash and burn ...

They'll wonder what happened! Those leads were supposed to buy, right?

So they'll think the business doesn't work, lose ALL confidence, blame the opportunity, quit, and maybe jump to another "better" opportunity.

They'll crash and burn AGAIN. They thought this business was going to be easy with all the rosy pictures that were painted to them by their sponsor.

They may have been told "all you have to get is two people." And maybe they DID, and yet it still didn't happen for them!

Assuming we have our "WHY's" (the reason we're doing the business), and our "BELIEF" that network marketing will help us achieve our goals ...

Instead of telling you the truth (they're in fear), they'll give you all sorts of excuses why they are having problems building their business.

Most won't admit they're in fear (even to themselves). However, to deny one's feelings of fear sets in motion all sorts of immobilizing defense mechanisms.

When your concious mind denies a feeling, it goes underground and continues to affect your feelings and ACTIONS in unconcious ways over which you have little or no control. We end up self-sabotaging ourselves without even knowing it.

So WE as leaders have to know this ourselves so we can help the people we sponsor deal with the fear of failure.

It doesn't do any good just analyzing in our minds that "they're just chicken *you-know-whats*."

Most people don't know the real why they're afraid. They want to get rid of their fear. They want to succeed in this business. But fear is still holding them back. They don't know what to do about it.

So how do we help them? (For some of us, how can we help OURSELVES!)

One of our responsibilities as leaders is to help our downline get the RIGHT knowledge, untangle their confusion ... so they'll have NO FEAR to continue on an ACTION plan they CAN DO and WILL DO.

We've got to "unfreeze" them from their "frozen in fear." We've got help them gain their CONFIDENCE.

Lack of confidence in what one knows and the lack of POSITIVE results is caused by not having the knowledge one needs to ACT.

Without training and practice, you lack skill. When you lack skill, you lack confidence. When you lack confidence, you'll experience fear.
